Anyway, I've come up with the list of songs to play, any objections, please raise to me directly. Everyone get in the discussion! Not only those playing for the event.

Redeeming the Riot would like to thank the Youths Care committee for all the effort they've place into this event as well as making us feel comfortable throughout. kudos to you guys!! a big thank you to our friends as well as those who we have yet to make, the sound crew of WMUM as well as the rest of the bands!

So, this is our last gig til we go on a hiatus to concentrate on promos and girlfriends.haha. wow, it's been a year since we played our first performance as a band, and seeing how far we've come, I'm really thankful to the rest of the five of you, and Conrad and Joshua, for the effort you guys put into the band and the music. I say..a splendid job to those who performed, to those who organised, to those who head-banged (-wobble) along with us, and to you. Thanks for such great support folks! We were really nervous playing to such a fantastic and LOUD crowd, especially when it came to our original, but I must say, you guys just encouraged us on. Hope everyone enjoyed A Vacant Affair, Caracal, The Fire Fight, and Electrico, and of course all the other bands (not forgetting FINDING MICHELLE - our "sister" band, cuz' of Michelle.). Thank you to the babes at RGS! Hope to see you all at our next performance which should be somewhere at Clarke Quay or Orchard for Tapestry 2008.

I just have to say thanks to all the organizers and parents for allowing us to play. Honestly, we thought we'd be playing to a dead crowd but boy, were we wrong!

Festival For A Future
was borne out of a (not so clever) pun on the name of an awesome band. We're a group of students from RGS looking to raise $100 000 by the end of this year to build a village school in Wulong county, Chongqing, China, and this concert is one of the means through which we're trying to raise those funds. FFAF brings to you a bit of rock (Electrico! Caracal! A Vacant Affair! The Fire Fight!), a bit of roll, and a whole lot of fun.

It's time to put the delaying on crash bang bszzzhhh Rock & Roll and enjoy some real music. That's right guys, it's ACJC Guitar Ensemble's very own concert, 'Glissando'.

Yeah well it's over at ACJC's Faith Centre for Performing Arts on the 10th of May.
Tickets are priced at $10 bucks each and you can pay by Edusave.

hey man, if you guys want to get paid for VJ, you'd have to ask RG and NY to pay us also. Or, we could choose not risking getting dropped from the set altogether and not push too hard for payment. Imagine if they get dissed cause we decide that we're good enough to be paid like professionals, they'd rather drop us altogether, that wy, we'd not only blow the cash we spent on studios before, and also, we miss valuable opportunities.

honestly, I'm the least financially sound person in this. we all have our problems. If we hang on though, we'd never know where the ride would bring us.

I was thinking that we should get paid, honestly I dont feel like we're getting ALL THAT MUCH out of it except some "fame" from performing. I dont like paying money so often for studios and then that totals up to a rather large amount, especially if when in the event that people dont turn up then we have to pay more.

If we dont get paid right, I would consider not doing vj, I can turn up for practises though. VJ is two weeks before my common test, RG is in the midst of common test. I dont know what jc test schedules are like, but I think I'll die. So I'm not being diva-ish asking to be paid, it just makes things better for me cuz I dont want to do badly for tests just for some "fame".

So can we like, arrange something with vj.

Let's See How Far We've Come

the past few days have been nothing short of surreal really. i don't really think anyone has really come to terms with saturday night yet. about a little over a year ago we were just a bunch of friends in the same class messing around with the idea of forming what we affectionately labelled 'the class band', we weren't serious at all! so yeah, we sort of flunked out of our Battle of the Bands auditions and our first gig was to play as a guest band at BOB2. it was quite a letdown to be honest, while we were performing, people were still strolling in, finding their seats. not to mention the fact that we were stoned as hell on stage. no jump, no fancy headbanging, no nothing!

i suppose i'm still very much in shock about all of this; the sudden deluge of attention that our once virtually unknown and unappreciated band have received. i think we've proven in our own little way that we can make music that people like. i think i speak for the entire band when i say that redeeming the riot is extremely grateful to everyone who's shown us their support. all the awesome blog posts about us are just well, awesome.

most of all, i think redeeming the riot has proven itself to be an entity that encompasses and celebrates the friendship and class spirit of 4.4 Ezra 2007. i'm extremely grateful for all the good times and laughs we've had over the years and look forward to many more. sure we've all had rough times with each other, and we're probably going to have problems with each other in the future, but i take comfort in the fact that we've never let small problems really get to us. so for those who don't already know, our class blog is at www.pointfour.blogspot.com !

Open up, shuffle, shuffle. Our lives, packed to the brim with many things including school and other lame school related whatnot, required our schedules to be opened up, and our arrangements shuffled. It’s all worth it, really. We’re here right now, ready to rumble. Like a cookie left out in the open, we slowly wear off, crumb by crumb, but still, we remain sweet and succulent and ever so tasty.In the end, when we are digested, the mixture of chips and nuts and other cookie-ingredients just melts in your mouth and travels down your oesophagus. That’s how easily accepted we are. We’re everybody’s cup of tea, which refills itself over and over again. It’s hard to define, in the space of three words the definition of a group of people who come together to rock each other’s world, and to rock your stage. If you’re looking for a group of people who unite to disperse a whole new sound and edge to our music, we’re it. And we like to be loud and in-your-face. We do have our ups and downs as a band, but everything contributes to the making of our sound, and to what defines us from the others. In a world which zooms from frame to frame, our thoughts are frozen and encapsulated through our unique brand of music. On top of that, we are also many other things. Like what, you may ask.
